Exhibitors applaud EXPO Solar 2010 as the top priority solar exhibition in Asia Pacific
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (February 8, 2010) - Over 3 bustling days, from 3 to 5 February, 2010, the photovoltaics market was all abuzz at one spot, in KINTEX, Ilsan, Korea. EXPO Solar 2010 was organized by the Korea Energy Management Corporation (a Government-owned company under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea) and supported by a number of global authorities in the field of energy including the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea (MKE); U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Service; PV industry associations around the world including Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association (KOPIA), Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA), Sociedade Portuguesa Energia Solar (SPES), Taiwan Photovoltaic Industry Association (TPVIA), Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society (ANZSES) and China New Energy Chamber of Commerce; and local Korean governments including Gyeonggi Province, Incheon Metropolitan City and North Gyeongsang Province.
After the huge success of last year¡¯s event, EXPO Solar came back this year to get even more enthusiastic welcome and responses from both exhibitors and visitors alike.
This year, EXPO Solar was built around the theme of ¡°Experiencing All in Solar Energy¡±. EXPO Solar 2010 showcased the latest solutions in technologically advanced equipment and cutting-edge products and other innovations. It offered the solar PV industry a total solution under one roof.
Visitors to EXPO Solar had the pleasure to meet two world-class electronics giants, Samsung and LG. Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics showed their seriousness about solar by participating in EXPO Solar 2010--their first-ever participation in an event of its kind. At EXPO Solar 2010, the two large global electronics players unveiled their technological innovations in solar and their excitement for the PV market.
At EXPO Solar 2010, more than 300 companies demonstrated their technology breakthroughs and cultivated customer contacts at about 800 booths. Exhibitors came from 30 countries and regions including the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Japan and China. There are many reasons why many exhibitors unhesitatingly agree to participate in EXPO Solar year after year. EXPO Solar is the main platform for PV companies to promote their brands and technologies not only to the Korean, but also to an international audience, launch their latest business development strategies as well as gather market intelligence and trends, build long-term relationships with their buyers or customers and cooperate with fellow exhibitors.
Held jointly with EXPO Solar 2010, 2010 PV World Forum featured several renowned speakers in the field of solar photovoltaics sharing their expertise, experience and knowledge that helped solar professionals keep abreast of the latest developments available.
The next EXPO Solar will be held from 16 to 18 February, 2011 at KINTEX, Korea.
